Franciscan Clarist Congregation (FCC)

The Franciscan Clarist Congregation (FCC) was started at Chenganachery on 14th December 1888. The congregation takes its charism from St Claire and St Francis Assisi. They aim at attaining holiness through lowliness. The congregation has now 6947 members under 20 provinces and 4 regions spread all over the world.

In the eparchy of Ujjain sisters from the provinces of Jalandher and Vijayavada are rendering their services. In total the congregation has 7 houses in the eparchy. The sisters are mainly engaged in the apostolate of education, health care, social apostolate and pastoral care.
